Favourite Winter / Berry Lip Colours ♥

Hey everyone,

I'm back again to do a post of some of my favourite lip products that I've been wearing a lot lately. They consist of lots of deep berry colours that are really trending at the moment and have been trending for a while now.

I hope you enjoy this post and let me know what your favourite lip product to wear this winter is x

Number 1.

NYX - Sparkling Orchid

This first colour is a very unique colour that I think you'll either love it or hate it. It is a very pretty sparkly purple colour. The shade is fairly sheer so can be built up according to preference.

Number 2.

Estee Lauder - Hot Lava

This second colour is absolutely gorgeous and again has a shimmer in it. I love to build this colour up to give a deep red look for the winter.

Number 3.

Topshop - Get Me Bodied

This final colour is so beautiful and I got it for Christmas...It has been one of the colours on my wishlist for a while and I absolutely love rocking it!

Here are what they look like swatched:

Let me know what your favourite lip colour/lip product is to wear in the winter and also let me know if you like the quality of my pictures now as I got a new camera for Christmas and loved using it!

NOTD #5 - OPI Alcatraz...Rocks Liquid sand ♥

Hey everyone,

Today I thought I would write a post and show you how my nails are painted and what I used. I haven't painted my nails in such a long time but painted them around about last week and I'm very impressed by the longevity of my nail varnish and how they haven't chipped yet which they usually do. I fancied wearing a darker nail polish for a change even though we are in the summer and dark nails aren't that popular right now.

(pictures above were found on google)

♥ ♥ ♥

Below are what my nails look like after about a weeks wear.

♥ ♥ ♥

I have quite a few nail varnishes that I don't use that often... this being one of them. I honestly don't know why I don't use it more often because I love the colour and the texture is very unique.

If you were wondering... I got this as a Christmas present and it's from OPI... called 'Alcatraz...Rocks', its one of their liquid sand nail polishes.

The texture of it once it has dried definitely feels although its been dipped in sand and is very rocky. I personally love this texture but if you didn't like it you could add a top coat which would even out this texture and create a smooth finish.

The colour of the nail varnish is also very pretty because in the sunlight as you can see to the left, their are tiny shimmers of blue and purple that look very pretty and make the dark nail varnish feminine. The colour itself is a mixture of many shimmers including gold, green and dark blue glitters.

As mentioned before, this nail polish has really impressed me on how well it has lasted and not chipped. This may be due to it being a thicker texture but I would've thought that with bumps it would've chipped easier but that wasn't the case.

I've looked up this nail polish online and you can get it for about £7 - £8 depending on which shop you are buying it from.

♥ ♥ ♥

Before I applied my nail varnish, I coated my nails with another nail polish from OPI which I have used for so long... their 'Nail Envy'.

Nail Envy acts as a food for your nails and hydrates them so any damage caused by removing old nail varnish is made healthy again. It also prevents nail polishes from staining and creates a smooth canvas for you to apply your colour on.

I've repurchased Nail Envy many times before and I got this one to the right from Christmas and it came in a set of three polishes. But you can buy it separately online or in shops for about £11 - £12.

If you wanted to prevent nail polishes staining you could use any top coat or base coat that you have... it doesn't have to be expensive.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post... I'm really enjoying writing blog posts recently and changing the way I lay stuff out. Tweet me a picture of your nails at @fgeorgiaa or tell me below what you have on your nails at the moment...I would love to find some more nail polishes xx

Fall/Autumn Lipsticks

Hey everyone,

So we are in fall/autumn right now (whatever you would like to call it ) and I just love wearing darker/more statement lip colours. I thought that I'd share with you the ones that I have been loving and what I would recommend to you.

If you love wearing darker/more statement makeup in fall/autumn as well... leave me a comment telling me your favourite lipsticks and other beauty products. I would love to know :)

So the first one that I have been using most frequently is one that I got for my birthday around about last week. It is the Riri Mac Lipstick in 'Riri Woo':

I love this lipstick so much! I know it's quite bright... but it is a gorgeous red and I absolutely love the packaging! I love the fact that it is matte... I tend to wear matte lipsticks rather than shiny. It came off very easily from my hand and lips leaving a barely even noticeable stain.

❤ ❤

The next lipstick is dark pink which I have been loving.... I've had it for a while now so I'm not sure if you can still get it or not... It is Urban Decay Lipstick in 'Jilted'.

I love the packaging, It has a little sword in the top which you open it by which is very sturdy and has never come out.

The pattern on the packaging is also very appealing, it had swirls, butterflies and even some skulls all in different shade of purple which look very pretty.

Altogether, Urban Decay did a really good job on designing this lipstick which is one of the reasons why I wear it so often, I wouldn't say it is very pigmented because it is a little sheer, it also has a bit of a sheen and has a good scent to it....

❤ ❤

This next lipstick is also another red.... but this one is the Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick in 111 or 'Kiss of Life'.

I already said about the Mac Riri red lipstick but I have so many different red lipsticks that are all very different that I love to wear.

I've had this lipstick since about last year and I love to use it in the wintery/autumn seasons with a simple eye look. The packaging isn't as decorative and pretty as the ones above but it is still simple and stylish.

As you can see in my pictures, the red is a lot brighter than the Mac Riri lipstick which I had first mentioned. Although the lipstick is meant to matte, I feel that when I apply it is does have a slight sheen whereas the Mac Riri one is completely matte but... I don't mind because I still absolutely love the colour and still wear it.

❤ ❤

This next lipstick is also another red lipstick by Rimmel Kate but it is a deeper purple red in 107:

This lipstick is probably one of my very favourite lipsticks of all time and I am so glad that I had brought this. Its a deep burgundy/ wine red and it looks gorgeous with simple eye makeup and a pretty pink blush.

As you can see below, the colour is VERY pigmented and has a slight hint of a pink colour in it which adds a nice feminine touch to it.

❤ ❤

This final lipstick is a very old one by Marks and Spencer. I know Marks and Spencer aren't really a makeup brand but I still love this lipstick made by them. I got it a very long time ago so I am not sure as to whether you can get it anymore but its one that I own and love and it is 15 or 'Copper Rose'.

Its a very pretty copper shimmery colour with a glittery sheen. The packaging is very sleek and looks very stylish, especially with the small gold band.

I don't normally like shimmery lipsticks but this one I do... its almost slightly metallic.

This swatch shows the lipstick a bit lighter than what it is on my lips because the lipstick is quite sheer so it shows the base through it a bit... when I have it on my lips, its a bit more of a darker brown colour because my lips are darker than the skin on my hand.

Thank you so much for reading this... I hope that you enjoyed it!
