Back from little break ♥ Pastel Trends

Hey everyone,

Sorry for the very long break I've kind of enjoyed having some free time and I had to revise for science exams :( Hopefully I'll be getting back into the swing of things and be posting more frequently now x I've kind of hit a wall trying to think of ideas for blog posts and needed some inspiration so please let me know how you get your inspiration and if there are any new tags going around that would be fun to do... anyway lets get into the main chunk of this blog post...

So today's post as you can see from above and in the title is about 'PASTEL TRENDS'... so you've all probably already heard or seen lots of pastel clothing around and about but I though that I'd do a bit of researching about to find some pastel clothing that I think is good value for money or very pretty!

One of the main shops that I like to look in for good value for money is 'New Look'... they sell a lot of up to date clothes for cheaper prices than more pricier shops such as 'Topshop' (although if you were willing to pay a bit more they do sell some gorgeous play suits and dresses that I would love to get my hands on :D). Anyway, I'm getting a bit distracted hehe... one of the first items from New Look that I spotted was this Short Sleeve Blue Cropped Jumper:

I thought this jumper would be a great piece that could go with anything from high waisted jeans and skirts to a more formal short skirt as demonstrated on the model in the picture to the left.

Also... this jumper is only £8 in the sale... so I'd grab one whilst you can ♥

This next item from New Look is also in the sale and may not be quite in the pastel trend but I though I'd include it anyway and it is something that would work with the jumper above if you wanted to dress up a bit.. this a-line mini skirt:

I would pair this skirt with something plain on top like the jumper above or the vest to the right... also, I would try to match what ever I was wearing on top to one of the colours in the skirt e.g. peach or lilac... I would also do the same with my lipstick.

Makeup example that I'd pair with it: (found on pinterest)

This skirt is only £7 in the sale!

This last item from New Look is also in the sale and its a basic white jumper that has a bit of detailing on so you feel although you're putting in some effort hehe and its very girly.. its this white 1/2 sleeve jumper with floral embroidery:

I feel like the cut of this jumper is a very love/hate cut... some people might love it but some people might hate it. I personally love it especially when its tucked in as shown on the model in the left picture.

I would pair this with something high waisted... e.g. a skirt, jeans, shorts

£8 --- in the sale!

Whilst browsing online I also found some great shops for dainty jewellery to pair with pastel items and one of the main shops was 'Pastelclouds'.... I've never heard of this shop before but they seem very affordable and sell some really cute stuff like these below:

All of these bits of jewellery would be perfect to pair with the outfits and items above!

Also on ASOS... I found some pretty earring that would match perfectly!

Wishlist #1

Hey,

So I've been browsing online lately and looking around some shops and I've seen many things that look appealing to me and that I'd love to own. Leave me a comment or tweet me at twitter.com/fgeorgiaa if you enjoyed this or would like to see more of these types of posts.

Anyway... lets get into it...

So the first thing I have seen that has caught my eye lately can kind of be classed as a group of things in stead of one thing in particular because you can get many different styles.

I have been loving ABOVE KNUCKLE RINGS

I know that these have become very popular recently and some people might like them and some people might hate them but I personally love them! I think they are so cute. I love the small rings with embellishments on such as these:

But I absolutely love the plain band knuckle rings like these:

The next thing that I have seen that I love is more of something that you can do and not just one thing... I love it but I don't know what to call it. So i'm just going say its a WHOLE CARTILAGE PIERCING

I've seen this many times before on tumblr and I absolutely love the look of it!

I recently saw beautybaby44 on YouTube get this done and I love it! I also like the look of different piercings like this:

Onto the next thing...

I haven't been looking at a lot of makeup recently, just clothes and   but the one makeup thing that I would love is a DEEP BERRY LIPSTICK that is more purple than red. I have a few red lipsticks that I love but recently, I've been wearing more purple coloured shades and I would love to have a new one.

I found this one and it looks very nice and is certainly close to what I'm looking for:

The final item on my wishlist is an item of clothing... A pair of 'BOYFRIEND JEANS'. I've been seeing a lot of these types of jeans on pinterest and they look so nice paired with a cute pair of heels like the ones in the picture:

Thank you so much for reading xx I'm very, very sorry for the lack of posts but I hope you stick with me and enjoy the ones that I do post :)

Mint + Rose Gold Dream Outfit #1

Hey everyone,

So before I started blogging I had been using a website called 'Polyvore'. Polyvore is a website which allows you to create outfit collages and post them and people can like them and follow you, tell how much each item costs and buy them. I love coming up with little outfit ideas to wear so I thought that I'd start sharing my ideas on my blog.

My Polyvore: click here

So today I thought I'd start it off by showing you a mint + rose gold outfit idea because both of these colours are fairly popular at the moment and I really love them...

This is the outfit which I designed, I wanted the colour scheme to be mints, white and rose gold, because I wanted to have rose gold in the colour scheme, I chose all rose gold Jewelry.

Below are the items in the outfit I created above...
Crop top:

I chose a simple crop top so that the jewelry could make the look complete. This top is also very affordable and can go with anything you already own.
Jeans:

- Wonder Skinny Jeans (Turquoise)

Because one of the main colours in my colour scheme is a mint/turquoise colour I  paired the plain top with these bold coloured skinny jeans above.

Shoes:

For the shoes, I thought I would pair converse for a more casual look rather than heels etc. I love all of the converse shoes and I think these pair of white ones would go with anything. I found these ones for £32 from karmaloop.com but I'm sure you could get them from other places cheaper or you could just wear plain white plimsolls.

Bag:

I thought that I would start to add in some gold detailing so this bag is perfect. I love the mint colour and the little gold studs. However, I'm not too sure whether you can get this anywhere else apart from America :( You might be able to find a bag similar somewhere else though.

Nails:

For nails, I chose this mint colour from this Dior due because I thought its a very nice mint colour and if you wanted to have something different then you could use the darker shade on your ring fingers etc. But... if you wanted something a bit cheaper I'm sure there are plenty of different light blue nail polishes out there that would be just as nice.

Some cheaper mint/light blue alternatives:
  • Essie - Mint Candy Apple (see what it looks like click here
  • Revlon - Blue Lagoon (£6.49 from boots click here)
  • Sinful Colours - Cinderella
  • Revlon - Minted (£6.49 from boots click here)
Jewelry:

When I designing this look I added all rose gold jewelry and this is the much cheaper alternative to the one which I am going to show next which is far too expensive for me to buy.  This bracelet is really cute, affordable and stretches to any size wrist.

***I would never buy a bracelet like this below that costs this much but it was so pretty so I thought that I would include it anyway***

As I said before, I wouldn't buy this but some people might like to own designer stuff but this bracelet is really cute!

Finally...

Earrings:

These earrings are very cute and simplistic, they are a bit pricey but I'm sure there are many other alternatives out there :)

Thank you for reading this! :D be sure to follow me in the future for more blog posts!
